Sylvia has been a member of the Force by Luke for a long time and has had to overcome great objections, with all the education and influence finally in place her body has started making huge changes. No matter what life throws at you, there is always determination and the ability to get right back on the game.

I am proud to say that Sylvia has shown great change, physically and mentally, this is not her best as it is yet to come!

"In May 2010 when my daughter got married and I saw the pictures it was my wake-up call to get honest with myself about where I was at in life. I had been carrying all this extra weight that I saw in the photo for 23 years; ever since I had my daughter. At one point my highest weight had ballooned to 252 lbs. and while I worked at losing the weight I would always bounce between 210 – 225 lbs. and knew I needed help to achieve my ultimate lifetime goal of getting healthy. In January 2011 I took that first step in my journey and joined 24 and began working with a personal trainer, Luke Fleming. Little did I know that Luke would help me achieve bigger goals than I would have even dreamed could be a reality. He has been such an inspiration and supporter to my success that I now believe I can succeed in this very personal and long journey that I started in 2011. There comes a time in your life when you look in the mirror and decide that you are not happy with the way you look and feel. This happened for me at the end of May 2012. I decided, that day, to join 24 Hour Fitness. I went on my lunch break and signed up, I purchased 3 training sessions hoping to learn enough about the equipment to work out on my own. I met Luke for our first training session and had to admit to weighing 167 lbs. with almost 40% body fat. I told him I would be happy if I could lose 15-20 lbs and wear a size 6 (I was currently wearing a 10). We worked together for the 3 sessions and I realized Luke's passion and knowledge would be a perfect match for my goals. I am so lucky to have him as a trainer! He taught me so much. I learned about the equipment, eating a heathy diet and fitness in general. He encouraged me and held me accountable. Not only did we reach the original goals, we exceeded all of my expectations! I lost 47 lbs and wear a size 0 and am currently at 18% body fat. I feel great, have more energy and deal with stress more effectively. I will continue training with him because what I thought of impossible, he has made very attainable. Luke gave me much more that weight loss. He inspired me to meet and exceed goals and set new goals. He gave me a level of confidence I had been lacking, not just in the gym but in my daily life. I will always be grateful to him. Six months ago (December 4th to be exact, yes I remember the day) I stepped on the scale and was mortified. That was the day I decided to make a change, a drastic one. I also knew that I could not do this alone so I called the one person I knew that could help me.
Luke and I met for our first session and put together our plan. I had a goal and now I had a plan. Luke spent time with me (in person, over the phone, through email and text messages) to go over nutrition and workouts. He is constantly giving me pointers on my diet and how I could optimize my meals and get the most out of my food. He is also sending workouts whenever needed.
I was once out of town and received a text from Luke just asking how I was doing (which is not uncommon at all!) I told him that I was out of town on business and headed to the gym at the hotel. He asked what equipment was available so I sent a picture of the gym to him. Not 5 minutes later I had a customized workout plan designed specific to my plan and what was available in the hotel gym.
About 2 months into working out with Luke I set another goal. I want to complete an Ironman Triathlon. Luke has customized our sessions to fit in my training in order to optimize our time. I have since completed a sprint distance triathlon and registered for an olympic distance. Luke has been nothing but supportive and accommodating.
He is constantly providing feedback on nutrition, workouts, and training plans. He is also very flexible with my busy family and work schedule. Since December I have lost 30 pounds. I have more energy, less stress, and have set a personal record on my 5K and 10K times. Luke is the most energetic, committed, and positive person I have ever met. I can honestly say that he has a client for life. My life has been changed and I can not ever see myself leaving The Force by Luke.

I was just about to turn 50 and while I needed to lose some weight, I decided what I really wanted to accomplish was to get fit. To jumpstart the process, for the first time, I used a personal trainer, Luke Fleming.
I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first about using a trainer but I decided I’d give it a try and see if it would do me any good. Looking back, it was the best decision I could have made.
The results spoke for themselves. In 4 short months I dropped 30 pounds, trimmed several inches off my waist, increased muscle mass and, above all, I feel great! I also had someone working with me and providing the encouragement to meet my goals.
As a trainer, Luke always came prepared. He was always encouraging and has a unique ability to help push you to do more than you think you can do. This all provided the means for me to be successful. Now I workout regularly, enjoy it, and continue to see benefits.
